The home opens right out onto the Sundance ski run
The mountain mansion has a host of amenities but perhaps none more appealing among winter sports aficionados than its location.
âYou open the door and youâre on the Sundance ski run,â said Ken Grodberg of Compass, who represented the sellers in the benchmark sale earlier this month. âThereâs a lot of value to that.â
It was one of the homeâs selling points alongside its panoramic mountain views, which are âdramatic, even by Telluride standards,â he said.
Boasting towering ceilings, double-height windows, exposed log beams and 11 fireplaces, the main home, while grand, is also âcomfortable, approachable and warm,â Grodberg said.
The sellersâwho, according to property records, bought the home in 2007 for a little over $13 millionââchanged the feel of it to give it that welcoming ambiance,â he added. They couldnât be reached for comment.
Mansion Global couldnât identify the new owner of the home, and Grodberg declined to comment on the parties involved in the deal.
In addition to the sprawling main house, the compound also boasts two standalone cottages and a studio apartment, with 10 bedrooms and almost 17,000 square feet of living space among them, according to the listing.
As well as all the usual trappings of a luxurious family compoundâlike the multiple living areas, elevator, and vast primary suiteâthe home has some high-end amenities, including a bowling alley, a home theater, a games room, and a plethora of spa features.
âIt is a great home for various age groups and generations,â Grodberg said. âThereâs something for everyone, young and old.â
