First look photos from Emma Stone’s new TV show The Curse has been unveiled — as well as a premiere date.
The 10-part series stars Stone and The Rehearsal’s Nathan Fielder as newly-weds Whitney and Asher, who have just landed their own home-improvement show, according to Variety.
However, as the couple attempt to juggle married life and their new business venture, all while trying to conceive a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, they are confronted with an alleged curse that threatens to “disturb the relationship”.
Oppenheimer’s Benny Safdie also stars in the series as Dougie, the producer of Whitney and Asher’s show, while Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), Corbin Bernsen (LA Law) and Constance Shulman (Orange Is the New Black) round out the cast.
As for its release date, The Curse will premiere on streaming and on-demand for all Showtime and Paramount+ subscribers on November 10. It will then make its on-air debut on Showtime on November 12.
The Curse is directed by Fielder, who also co-created and executive produced the show with Safdie. Meanwhile, Stone executive produced alongside her husband Dave Mccary and Ali Herting.
Shortly after her turn in The Curse, fans will be able to watch Stone on the big screen in Yorgos Lanthimos’ surreal comedy Poor Things.
The film, which earned rave reviews following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival earlier this month, follows a young woman named Bella (played by Stone), who is brought back to life by her guardian, Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe).
Eager to see more of the world, Bella sets off on a whirlwind adventure across Europe with debauched lawyer Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo).
