However, in the backdrop of her reign, she disappeared from the spotlight, leaving many trying to connect the dots about her whereabouts.

Against her newfound fame, Mofokeng relocated to America, where she found love 20 years ago. After her historical reign, she switched the floor to business with her executive placement firm Jay-Emm Connections.

She was also appointed one of the board of trustees for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Foundation. She was also doubled as a presenter for SABC and a board of directors of an established IT company.

Despite having a colourful resume to her name, she relocated to America in 2003. Over the years, she has managed to keep her private life under wraps leaving many to guess.

CITIZENSHIP RUMOURS

During one of her few interviews, she also said she was a mother of two and a stay-at-home mum at her lush home in New Jersey. Rumour mill has it that she still has South African citizenship since she was only reported as an American resident, not a citizen, years ago.

Like those before her, she hasn’t been more vocal and active on social media. Her social media accounts are little known since South Africans have not come across any.
