Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali’s visit to the dressing room after the Blues’ 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa yesterday was just standard procedure.
According to The Athletic, it has become routine for members of the Chelsea hierarchy to go to the changing room when they are attending matches at Stamford Bridge.
It quickly emerged after the Blues’ latest defeat that Behdad Eghbali headed to the dressing room straight after the game, but it is now clear that the purpose of his visit was not for serious talks with Mauricio Pochettino or anything like that.

Chelsea have now lost three games in the Premier League this season and currently sit 14th in the table.
If things do not pick up, you would expect Eghbali’s trips to the home dressing room at Stamford Bridge to become less and less friendlier.
What can Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly do to help Mauricio Pochettino?
Give him time above all else but also invest in a new striker. Chelsea have obviously spent a ridiculous amount of money since the two businessmen have been at the club and recently signed Nicolas Jackson, but the team’s goalscoring issues have not been addressed.
Last season, the Blues found the back of the net just 38 times in the Premier League, something they could easily repeat this term if they continue to blank at home against the likes of Villa and Nottingham Forest.

Ultimately, Chelsea need to sign a proven No.9, preferably in January.
There is still the possibility of Jackson coming good. But if that does not happen, then Eghbali and Co have to spend even more money and add another centre-forward to Pochettino’s squad.
