It was her desire to meet Patrick Mahomes following two heart surgeries and she threw Travis Kelce a cannon

The best friends of the NFL are stealing the internet lately. After the tragic loss to the Denver Broncos in Colorado, the Kansas City Chiefs players might not have wanted to be in the spotlight. However, the Chiefs QB and TE were involved in something beautiful, that is now breaking the internet.

Meeting a star personally is a dream that every fan sees. Such a dream was fulfilled last year by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. A girl who was suffering a life-threatening illness, had her dream come true, but in a twisted way.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce played for ‘a Wish’

Last year, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce granted a wish to a 12-year-old young girl from California. Myka Eilers was diagnosed with heart disease, pulmonary stenosis, and required two open-heart surgeries. Eilers is a Mahomies, and hence after the surgeries, she got the opportunity to meet Mahomes and Kelce, via ESPN’s “My Wish” series. And later what happened can surely bring tears to everyone’s eyes.

During their meetup, the young girl got a chance to throw a cannon to the 2x Super Bowl champs. Before throwing, Kelce in the video, could be seen directing and motivating the young girl. She then later threw the ball far, probably for Mahomes to catch, but was caught by the star catcher Kelce. Eilers threw multiple passes to Kelce and then sat with the duo to watch their 2021 AFC Divisional touchdown pass. Eilers was also gifted the Chiefs’ personalized jersey when she appeared at Arrowhead Stadium’s practice field before her meetup with her favorites.

That day was special for the little girl, who experienced more memorable events during her meetup. Moreover, she is now living her bright future.

The whole day was like magic for Myka Eilers!

During her meetup, Myka Eilers had a lot of chats with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The athletes even ended the day for the little girl with a photo session. Not only this, before the meetup with her favorite stars, Eilers got a chance to meet the Chiefs mascot KC Wolf, who traveled to Yorba Linda to surprise the Eilers family.

He visited her home to help meet her dreams, giving her a note that she was going to fly to meet Mahomes at Arrowhead. The note reads, “Our friends at Make-A-Wish told us that Patrick Mahomes is your favorite player and that you want to break down the barriers to become the first female to play in the NFL. We thought you might see what we can do to make those dreams come true. Can’t wait to see you in Kansas City. Go Chiefs!” And just three days later, she met the players.

Eilers has advanced in her career, becoming the quarterback for her flag football team in California. She also dreams of becoming the first female QB of the NFL.
