Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, filed a “request to establish parental relationship” in a California court on September 29. This application is to identify the legal parents of their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren as long as they are not married. It can be used for proceedings regarding rights and obligations with the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren later on.

However, the Tesla boss seems to have not yet responded to his ex-lover’s petition. The Canadian singer has also not requested custody or 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 support.

Grimes’ petition came just a few weeks after the 35-year-old female artist begged Elon Musk to let her see her son. In a since-deleted tweet sent to Shivon Zilis – the mother of Elon Musk’s twins, Grimes said: “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or please answer my lawyer. I even I have never been allowed to see any photos of these twins until now, even though it completely devastated my family.”

A few days later, Grimes explained on X that she had contacted Zilis to resolve the conflict. “I finally had a long conversation with Shivon. This is not her fault, please don’t be angry with her. We respect each other very much and are happy to be friends so the kids can grow up together”. Responding to Grimes, Zilis wrote: “All ended well.”

Zilis is chief executive officer at Elon Musk’s company Neuralink. According to court documents, she gave 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to two 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren for the American billionaire through IVF last November. Meanwhile, Grimes and Musk started dating in 2018 and have three 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. Their first son, X AE A-Xii, was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in May 2020. The second 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl Exa Dark Siderael (nickname Y), was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 to a surrogate in December 2021 – the same year the couple broke up.

Last month, journalist Walter Isaacson’s biography of Elon Musk revealed that the SpaceX founder and Grimes secretly had a third son, Techno Mechanicus. Currently, not much information has been revealed about this 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, only the boy’s nickname is Tau. Thus, up to now Elon Musk is the father of 11 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren and has been divorced three times.
