At the same time, her husband, Justin, was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome in June 2022, resulting in facial paralysis and forcing him to reschedule several U.S. tour dates.

Unlike many people in their 20s and 30s who view marriage as a milestone to be achieved once stability is reached, Hailey believes marriage should be viewed as a starting point. Hailey mentioned that the wedding vow ‘for better or for worse’ has a significant meaning. She said:

“I just think life is changing all the time. Day to day, week to week, year to year. I think a perfect example of that is over the last six months, both of us have gone through very serious health issues. You have to figure out how to deal with this shit as it comes, you know? There’s a reason they say ‘for better or for worse.’ Like, that’s for real!”
