AOC helps stranded motorist, but X users not impressed as photo goes viral

Why call AAA when you have AOC?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez more than fulfilled her civic duty by aiding a stranded motorist whose car battery died at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 11.

Her chief of staff Mike Casca took to X to praise his boss for coming to the rescue of the man, who has been identified as Evan Hollander, staff assistant and driver for Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.).

“When your car battery dies on the capitol plaza, instead of calling aaa you just need @AOC,” Casca wrote, alongside a photo of the congresswoman tending to the Honda Civic.

The post quickly went viral and now has 4.9 million views and 3,500 comments.

Some X users praised the progressive New York pol for her work.

“AOC gets there quicker than AAA,” one wrote.

“And here I was thinking that I couldn’t respect her more,” another gushed.

However, others ripped Hollander for his inability to handle the situation.

“Don’t think anyone is shocked this dork needed help,” one joked.

“Average liberal dude,” another added.

“What kind of a man can’t put jumper cables on a battery?” another criticized.

Others not only made fun of Hollander, but the two Capitol Police officers in the photo who were standing by AOC.

“Bunch of men standing around and the woman’s doing the work,” one said. “We were multitasking before that was even a term.”

“This picture perfectly sums up DC men. This is the poster 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 for beta males,” another quipped.

“Three useless men in one picture,” someone else added

One person felt the entire scenario was set up to make AOC appear to be a good Samaritan.

“This the most staged s–t I ever seen,” they said.

“You have to legit be brain dead to not know how to jump a car.”
