Nick Jonas doesn’t need to send an S.O.S. to prepare for an acting role.
The Jonas Brothers singer, who stars in the new film The Good Half, has help at home: His wife and fellow actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
“I’ve got a pretty good scene partner at home,” Nick told E! News about the Quantico alum in an interview that aired Aug. 15. “By pretty good, I mean like, world class, so that’s always nice.”
He and Priyanka have even helped each other put together audition tapes.
The 31-year-old said the two have even put each other on tape, meaning they have filmed each other acting out their scenes. “It is kind of weird,” he added. “But you know, also wonderful.”
But that’s not to say that he and Priyanka, 42, are always running lines together. “We just talk about, you know, characters,” he said. “It’s great to stay creative at home, and then you can bring that into the workspace.”
And when it comes to Nick’s career, the Citadel actress—with whom he shares daughter Malti Marie, 2—is his biggest cheerleader. After accompanying her husband to the premiere of The Good Half in Los Angeles Aug. 13, she couldn’t help but gush about him and his new film on social media.
“Cannot wait for you all to experience this beautiful poignant, touching movie with incredible performances,” she wrote on Instagram Aug. 2. “I may or may not be slightly biased, but @nickjonas, you are phenomenal in this one.”
Nick has also rallied behind his wife when it comes to her own projects, including her recently-wrapped pirate-themed film with Karl Urban.
“It’s a picture wrap on The Bluff!!!,” she wrote on Instagram Aug. 10 , including a selfie of herself and Malti wearing pirate hats while appearing with Nick, “and to do it with my family by my side and the incredible people that made this movie possible is such a privilege.”
Alongside a red heart emoji, Nick simply wrote, “Blown away by you.”
The Good Half, which also stars David Arquette, Brittany Snow, Alexandra Shipp and Elisabeth Shue, is now in theaters.
