As the “๐ค๐ฉ๐ช๐ญ๐ฅren of golfing greats” with a father who is a great golfer, Tiger Woods’ son and daughter have completely opposite views on their father’s career sport.
Charlie Woods is only 15 years old but has become a global golf phenomenon, partly thanks to the strong influence of his legendary father, of course he also has talent and a promising future. But while Charlie wants to build a successful golf career to overcome his father’s shadow, Tiger Woods’ daughter is the opposite. The 16-year-old girl is completely uninterested in golf.
Tiger Woods himself revealed this information when participating in Carson Daly’s Today Show.
Unlike her younger brother Charlie, Sam Woods has no plans to follow in her father’s footsteps
“Sam thinks about golf in a very negative way, because golf takes away from her time with her father. I’m constantly packing, leaving home, and going away to compete every week. So now my daughter and I often go out together and do other recreational activities, not golf, not related to golf. As for Charlie and I, everything we do revolves around golf,” Woods shared.
This doesn’t mean that Sam has completely removed herself from the sport or doesn’t care about her father’s career. She gave an emotional speech on stage when Woods was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2022.

Most recently, at the PNC Championship in December – an arena that brought together many big stars and their relatives – Sam Woods caddied for Tiger when he played with Charlie.

Since Charlie made his PNC Championship debut in 2020, golf fans have been following the teenager’s growth and progress. Charlie has played in several junior golf events in Florida over the past year and has had impressive results. Since the beginning of the year, Charlie Woods has also participated in two major qualifiers to try his hand at the PGA Tour and the U.S. Open major.
In addition to talking about his ๐ค๐ฉ๐ช๐ญ๐ฅren, Woods appeared on the Today Show primarily to promote Sun Day Red, his new clothing brand with TaylorMade.
