Ludacris is the proud father of four kids: Karma, Cai, Cadence and Chance.
The rapper, whose real name is Chris Bridges, welcomed Karma and Cai during two previous relationships and he later celebrated the arrival of Cadence and Chance with his wife, Eudoxie Bridges.
“There’s a lot of estrogen around here!” the rapper told PEOPLE of his family. Despite the demands of his multifaceted career, his kids have remained his top priority.
“Family has always been my No. 1 focus,” he said. “Every day with my girls is something different, and I’m loving every minute of fatherhood.”
Ludacris’ world changed when he first became a father in 2001, having his oldest daughter Karma shortly after he released his first studio album, Back For the First Time, with a major label.
“I had just started coming into money,” he recalled to PEOPLE of that time in his life. “I was in a good place mentally, spiritually and financially, so I was prepared for fatherhood.”

Ludacris and attorney Christine White welcomed their daughter, Karma Christine Bridges, on Aug. 10, 2001. Since her 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, Karma has been close with her dad, joining him throughout his career whenever she was able to.
“I wanted to be with Karma at all times, but obviously because of my schedule and her being so young, I couldn’t,” he recalled to PEOPLE in June 2021 of those early days.
Ludacris relished every moment with his first daughter as she grew up, including the moment Karma first learned how to read.
“I was driving, and she was in the back seat. When I heard her slowly trying to put the words together, I started tearing up,” he shared. “Most rappers wouldn’t say that!”
He went on to create an educational website called Karma’s World when she was 10 years old. The website has since spawned an animated Netflix series, which premiered in 2021, and a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren’s book titled Daddy and Me and the Rhyme to Be, published in 2022.

“When Karma was 6 years old, she joined me in the studio and asked if she could make music, too,” Ludacris told PEOPLE of his inspiration for his book. “This is the basis of both the show and the book — a story for families that addresses what real kids go through.”
He added, “I want each of my daughters to live out their own dreams, and at that time in her life it was fun to hear that Karma had an interest in following in my footsteps.”
At her dad’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in May 2023, Karma paid tribute to him with a sweet speech.
“To my rock, my hero, my dad. Words can’t describe how much being here today means to me,” she said in part. “From plays to dance recitals to graduations, you have always found a way to be there for me. Even if it’s a call or a text from miles away, you always made it a point to make sure I felt valued.”
In May 2024, Karma graduated from Spelman College summa cum laude. She told PEOPLE that she hopes to make “movie and film content that helps shape and change the social and political landscape.”

Cai has a close relationship with both her dad and her stepmother Eudoxie, who often share photos of her on social media. She also has a bond with her younger sister, Cadence, as the girls are two years apart in age.
“My little models,” Eudoxie captioned a series of photos of them posing together in March 2022.

Eudoxie announced the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦’s arrival on Instagram. “She is here,” she wrote beside a photo of the couple’s dog with a “𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl” balloon.
These days, Cadence is frequently featured on her mom’s Instagram, along with her siblings. In July 2021, Cadence became a big sister following the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 Chance, and she appears to be adapting to the role well.
Eudoxie shared three adorable photos of Cadence holding Chance in October 2022, including one of her planting a kiss on Chance’s head. “Cadence’s 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦” she captioned the post.
In May 2023, Eudoxie shared a sweet 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day message for her daughter on her 8th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day.
“Happy 8th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day to the sweetest 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl ever!! I love everything about you! What a blessing you are to us,” she wrote, adding in French, “I love you, and you will always be my sweetheart.”
Ludacris has shared that he hopes to instill confidence in his daughters, including Cadence. The actor told PEOPLE in June 2022 that he tries to help them understand “their intelligence, their beauty, and their purpose here in the world and that each one of those may be different … and that they come from a strong lineage of women and heritage.”

“The Movie ‘Girls, Girls, Girls, Girls’ starring Chris Bridges coming soon.,” he captioned the post.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ludacris recounted the story of Chance’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, sharing that he “almost didn’t make the delivery” because he was away shooting a movie in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ludacris was on set filming a scene when Eudoxie called and said that he quickly needed to return to Atlanta.
“I’m like, ‘Babe, I’m shooting a movie. What are you talking about?’ She said, ‘The contractions started and the doctor said you need to get here,’ ” he recalled.

The artist then called “all the commercial airlines trying to get a ticket,” but everything was sold out.
“So humbly speaking, I have my own plane, but it’s in Atlanta. So I had to call my pilot and say, ‘You need to leave Atlanta and come straight to New Mexico, right now, as soon as you can. Get another pilot because everything is sold out,’ ” he told host Ellen DeGeneres.
Chance turned 1 in July 2022, and her proud parents paid tribute to their daughter on social media.
“My Youngest Baby Girl Turned 1 TODAY!” Ludacris wrote on Instagram. “The Greatness I See In You is Already Abundantly Clear & You Brighten My Heart Daily With Your Love & Light. The Bridges Legacy Looks Better Than Ever Now That You’ve Chosen Me To Be Your Daddy Love You Baby Chance.”
