“It’s an Apex Predator… that’s suppressed 65 million years of gut instinct!” Well Go USA has revealed an official trailer for a hilarious new B-movie horror thriller called The Invisible Raptor, made by filmmaker Mike Hermosa. Not to be confused with The Invincible Raptor, you can’t see this one. We also recommend Tammy & The T-Rex. After a top secret experiment goes wrong, a hyper-intelligent invisible raptor escapes the lab and begins wreaking havoc. An amusement park paleontologist and a hapless security guard must team up to stop the invisible raptor from causing even more mayhem in their small town. Early reviews say the film “punches well above its weight with likeable characters and some genuinely entertaining gore.” The Invisible Raptor stars Mike Capes, David Shackelford, Caitlin McHugh Stamos, Sandy Martin, Bobby Gilchrist, Richard Riehle, and Sean Astin. This is a fun concept because you don’t need to pay for VFX to show a raptor in the movie, but it can still be scary (use your imagination)! Looks like a fun time.
After a top-secret experiment goes wrong, a hyper-intelligent invisible raptor escapes the lab and begins wreaking havoc in the surrounding neighborhood. When the creature’s identity is uncovered, it becomes clear that a disgraced paleontologist—alongside his ex-girlfriend, an unhinged amusement park security guard, and a local celebrity chicken farmer—is the town’s only hope for surviving the raptor’s ravenous rampage. The Invisible Raptor is directed by American indie filmmaker Mike Hermosa, director of the movies Dutch Hollow, The Righteous and the Wicked, The Head Thieves, and Wildflower previously, plus a few other shorts and some TV movies. The screenplay is written by Johnny Wickham and Mike Hermosa. Produced by Mike Capes, Nic Neary, William Ramsey, Johnny Wickham, and Mike Hermosa. This initially premiered at the 2023 Sitges Film Festival last year. Well Go USA will debut The Invisible Raptor movie in select US theaters + on VOD starting on December 6th, 2024 later this year. Looking good? Who’s down?
