Patrick Mahomes is ready to make his family a priority over NFL
Patrick Mahomes’ busy schedule during the season gives him limited time to spend with the family. While the NFL becomes a priority, he passes the reigns over to his wife Brittany for a few months.
However, Mahomes is ready to prioritize his family as his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren grow up.
In an interview with TIME, Mahomes spoke about his retirement and what that would mean.
“I’ve looked, if I played until Tom [Brady]’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old. That would mean missing plenty of youth sporting events and other commitments,” he said.“I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I’ll continue to play. But if I feel like it’s taking away from my family time, that’s when I’ll know it’s time to go.”
Drafted in 2017, Mahomes has been with the Chiefs for seven years. With three Super Bowls under his belt, fans are eagerly looking forward to a three-peat possibility as the QB leads the team.
