Nia Long to Receive $32,000 a Month in Child Support from Ex Ime Udoka
The star shares her older son with ex-fiancé Massai Z. Dorsey. She is also mom to son Kez Sunday, 12, whom she shares with ex Ime Udoka.
Long and Udoka ended their 13-year relationship in December 2022. Eight months after, Long filed for legal and physical custody of her son Kez after claiming that her ex-fiancé “has failed” to support their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥.
According to documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the You People actress requested that Udoka have “reasonable visitation” that is “consistent with the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥’s best interest” in the paperwork she filed on Aug. 14 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
This past January, the actress and the NBA coach reached a settlement regarding custody over Kez following the pair’s split. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Long is set to receive $32,000 a month in 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 support from Udoka.
The former couple will continue to share joint custody, but Long will have sole physical custody with reasonable visitation for Udoka. The reason given, per the documents, is Udoka’s need to travel with his team, the Houston Rockets, during and around the NBA season.
The stipulation reads, “Udoka shall have reasonable visitation with Kez, which may take into consideration Kez’s schedule and concerns but shall not prevent or interfere with Kez’s visitation with Udoka.”
