Without pausing to glance around, we can occasionally miss the transition of our gorgeous summer landscape into autumn. But just in case you’ve been observing the autumn leaves change color, here is a collection of photographs that compare various locations before and after the leaves change color.
Aside from the cool air, the leaves, and the delicious autumn fruits and vegetables, the ‘suspended leaves’ are likely the greatest sign of autumn. Chlorophyll, which is the green pigment in leaves that produces energy for trees, progressively breaks down in the autumn, revealing the myriad of other leaf pigments. This is where the distinctive autumn hues of rich brown, orange, yellow, and red are derived.
Due to these vibrant leaves, autumn is one of the most popular seasons for nature photography enthusiasts. And we wholeheartedly concur, as you can see from the autumn photo below – the autumn colors transform the already gorgeous landscape into a breathtaking one.
