CHELSEA fans have joked that Brighton are “splashing their Moises Caicedo money” on their Player of the Month award.
That’s after Kaoru Mitoma was gifted a PORSCHE for winning August’s prize – albeit with a huge twist.

Chelsea handed a British record £115million to Brighton for Caicedo last month.
The Ecuadorian midfielder isn’t the first to swap the Amex for Stamford Bridge either.
Chelsea also paid £25m for Brighton’s third-choice goalie Robert Sanchez this summer.
And last year they forked over £80m for player Marc Cucurella and manager Graham Potter – with the latter sacked just seven months later.
Chelsea fans now fear they have been funding Brighton’s prize for Player of the Month all along.
The Seagulls declared that Mitoma was the latest recipient of the award after helping himself to a goal and three assists.
The Japan international looked as cool as a cucumber as he posed with his Porsche supercar.
One Chelsea fan joked: “They’re using the Caicedo money to fund POTM Porsche’s. What have we done?”
Another declared: “Using that Caicedo bag to get Mitoma this Porsche! Incredible business.”
One noted: “Bro this is such a big flex.”
Another added: “Porsche costs £1m, Caicedo £115m, still some money left…”
However, there was a huge twist regarding Brighton’s Porsche prize.
That’s because the Player of the Month winner only gets to drive it for 48 hours.
Porsche Centre Mid-Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍, who were behind Mitoma’s gift, lifted the lid on the time limit back in the 2015/16 after being named Brighton’s Performance Car Partner.
It means Mitoma will have to get behind the wheel quickly or else see his temporary Porsche return to the lot before he knows it.
