Peaceful, Off Grid Cabin Nestled In Wilderness – BC, Canada

There are so many things to love about the off-grid cabin located at Columbia-Shuswap in British Columbia. The peaceful cabin nestled in the forest is located in the heart rocky mountains. The cabin is surrounded with wetland, solitude, and is only a short drive away from Glacier National Park. Kinbasket Lake and Quartz Creek are also nearby, as well as the towns of Golden and Revelstoke. The area is perfect for bikers, hikers, and anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The wood cabin is off-grid and has a kitchen, a shower, an outhouse, and a beautiful timber-framed bathroom.

The cabin can be reached by foot, bicycle, or quad-bike (the vacationing hosts offer free pick-ups/drops). This is an amazing vacation experience. In the summer you can explore a creek trail and try your hand at panning for gold, or explore the enchanted forests trail to learn where our beautiful mountain spring water comes from. Or, wander down to Beaver Point to observe wildlife, which is a short walk from the cabin. The cabin offers almost 2 miles of trails so you can immerse yourself into the wilderness. Winter trails are not maintained, so bring your skis or snowshoes.

The cabin kitchen has everything you need to cook and bake, including a variety of spices, olive oils, balsamic vinaigrette, sugar, and wheat flour. There is local coffee and tea, and a Vitamix blender for those who like to start their day with a healthy smoothie. This off grid cabin is an excellent way to escape the city, enjoy some fresh air, and take in the wide-open view. It might even inspire you build your own off grid cabin. Solar power is one way to power an off-grid building. Solar power can be installed in an off-grid building for a few years before it pays for itself. But in the end, you will save money and not have to depend on the power company.

Solar energy allows you to build your cabin off-grid in a variety of locations. Solar power allows for flexible living, which could include a location that offers beautiful views of the nature and is more off-the-beaten track. Imagine living on an estate where your neighbors live further away, and you can use renewable energy. You can live wherever you want if you produce your own solar power. Connecting a remote cabin to the grid can be a major undertaking. You will have to navigate a number of regulatory hurdles and install a service pole. Solar renewable energy can be installed in your cabin to provide an alternative solution that is more flexible. Solar power eliminates grid dependency. If you do not need to be connected to a grid, you can save money and time by connecting your cabin to the main power grid.
