Kit Harington is at the pinnacle of his career. Harington shot to global stardom for convincingly playing the role of Jon Snow in the fantasy epic Game of Thrones. Since then, he has played many intriguing roles and starred in dozens of iconic movies.
In a previous interview, the 36-year-old actor once revealed that while filming his highly-rated television show Game of Thrones, he got the offer to play an undisclosed role in a superhero movie, which he ultimately turned down, claiming, “I didn’t like the role and the part.”
The actor reportedly found that role uninteresting and refused to disclose the name of the project, which he rejected. According to reports, he dropped the unnamed superhero film project before he secured to play the significant role in Angelina Jolie-led 2021 superhero film Eternals.

In a candid interview with Total Film, Kit Harington revealed that before he teamed up to star in Angelina Jolie’s 2021 American superhero film Eternals, he turned down an offer to play a role in another superhero film project. While discussing the role he rejected, the actor told the outlet,
“I won’t mention what it was, but yeah, there was one other [superhero movie] that I did turn down a while ago. It was a while ago, as well – just because it didn’t feel like the right thing at the right time. And I think I was right to. My head was very in the Jon Snow world then.”
He continued,
“You know, the comic book and superhero world has called once before, and I didn’t like the role and the part and the time to do it. So I turned it down. And then this one [in Eternals] felt right to me. I liked that the character they were offering was not necessarily an Eternal. He was human. I did like that. I felt that I could do something with that, that he came with all these human faults. So it was the character that drew me to it, as well as it being the MCU, and how exciting.”
Kit Harington claimed he rejected the offer to play a role in an undisclosed superhero film because he didn’t like the part and was, at the time, devoted to playing his role of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. His excellent depiction in the show helped him land another significant role in the Jolie-led film Eternals. The actor portrayed the character of Dane Whitman in the movie, which he found fascinating.
