Kylian Mbappé has strung along any Real Madrid interest over the last few years. The Spanish club views the Frenchman as the next superstar to wear their iconic white kit. However, the winger hasn’t jumped on the chances to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
As a result, the 24-year-old’s camp could feel that next summer could be their last opportunity to join Los Blancos. According to Defensa Central, Mbappé’s mother, Fayza Lamari, believes her son would end up “regretting” his decision not to go to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
“In the end, we’re going to regret going to Real Madrid so late,” the report claims she tells him.
The report states that Lamari reminds her son to sort out his future every time the topic of Real Madrid is brought up. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is playing this 2023-24 season on an expiring contract, so he must decide in a few months.
Real Madrid could also be having a Plan B to ensure not all their eggs are in the Mbappé basket. The La Liga side needs a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema’s production. Will it be a fellow Frenchman, or will they have to look elsewhere?
