Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has responded to Aaron Rodgers referring to him as “Mr. Pfizer” in a recent interview.
Kelce has been all over the news in the last few weeks after rumours began circulating that he has been dating Taylor Swift. The world-famous pop star has attended each of the past two Chiefs games, including against the New York Jets at the MetLife Stadium on October 1.
Rodgers would have been expected to play against the Chiefs in that game but sustained an Achilles tendon injury on the opening weekend of the season. As a result, the veteran quarterback is likely to spend the remainder of the 2023 NFL season on the sidelines in recovery.

Despite not being able to play, Rodgers was at the MetLife to support his Jets teammates against the Chiefs. Rodgers was spotted chatting with Kelce on the sidelines, and he would later be asked on the Pat McAfee Show about what he and the Chiefs tight end spoke about.
In his response, Rodgers referred to Kelce as “Mr. Pfizer”, in reference to the Chiefs star recently appearing in a vaccine commercial and Kelce has responded.
“I thought it was pretty good,’ Kelce said with a smile, when speaking to reporters at a pre-game press conference on Friday. “With the mustache, I look like someone named Mr. Pfizer.
“Once I got the vaccine, I got it because of keeping myself safe, my family safe, people in this building.
“So yes I stand by it, one thousand percent. I am fully comfortable with him calling me ‘Mr. Pfizer’”
Rodgers’ initial comments about Kelce came when he was speaking to Pat McAfee on his show for ESPN
Earlier in the week, in his regular appearance on McAfee, Rodgers was praising his Jets teammates for their performance against the Chiefs, before turning his attention to Kelce with the aforementioned nickname.
“Our defense played well, [Patrick Mahomes] didn’t have a crazy game,” Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. “Mr. Pfizer (Kelce), we kind of shut him down a little bit, he didn’t have a crazy-impact game.
“He had some yards and stuff, but I felt for the most part that we played tough on defense and the last three quarters, and that was important for us.”
