Young African woman defies prophecy, bags bag after lecturer claims she won’t get into US university. Bachelor’s degree

A young African lady known as Elizabeth Laiza Kalu has defeated a prediction of one of her undergraduate lecturers who said she will not make it to study at a university in the United States of America (USA).

Elizabeth Laiza Kalu who recently bagged a Masters’s degree from New York University (NYU), New York, USA recalled that during her undergraduate study at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, one of her professors told her that she will never make it into a top school like NYU or Columbia University.

She had approached her lecturer for a recommendation letter but was told that she can never make it to the university. A few years after the lecturer made the statement, Elizabeth graduated from New York University (NYU) with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

Celebrating her feat, Elizabeth took to her social media handle to narrate her story, expressing that she clearly understand that her lecturer was projecting her own insecurities on her and that she didn’t expect a young black girl to have such ambitions.

“Now I clearly understand that she was projecting her own insecurities on me and she didn’t expect a young black girl to have such ambitions. Thankfully, I know my identity in Christ is bigger than any degree and I’m fully backed by a God that can be trusted,” Elizabeth said.
