After months of play, injured warrior LeBron James is considering surgery for a torn foot tendon.

A couple of days after the Los Angeles Lakers 2022-23 NBA season came to an end, more details about how their campaign went down and what went wrong for them.

LeBron James once again showed his quality in the playoffs, but the King was reportedly playing through a foot injury for the last couple of months. Shams Charania revealed on the Pat McAfee Show:

“LeBron James played the last few months of the season with a torn tendon in his foot that could need surgery this summer… I think he’s going to take the next couple of months to get reenergized, and I fully expect him to play next season.”

These 5 Things Keep Employees Happy

LeBron James missed some games near the end of the regular season, and the reason was a foot injury. The Lakers never really shared many details about it until the player returned to finish the season on a high note.

The Lakers finished as the 7th seed and made it to the playoffs after the play-in tournament, and once they got past that round, the season only got better for them.

LeBron James Willed The Los Angeles Lakers To The Western Conference Finals

The Purple and Gold beat the No. 2 seed in the first round and then the defending champions in the West semis. They couldn’t beat the Denver Nuggets, but it was clear they had a successful season knowing that they had a 2-10 start.

The Lakers made the right changes ahead of the trade deadline, but they could only get this far. The team is now ready to make more changes in the offseason, but trying to keep important pieces on the roster, like Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura.

LeBron James set the alarm after he stated he has some thinking to do before deciding if he comes back next season, but this injury could complicate everything. Hopefully, he can get better to run it back with the Lakers.
