Australia has two kings of deconstructed wares: Christopher Esber and Dion Lee. And one of the latter’s latest designs—a black tailored blazer with a denim corseted bodice—notably made its way onto American actress Anne Hathaway this week.
The WeCrashed star, 40, wore the “jorset” (that’s a jean corset) during an interview with Good Morning America where she spoke about her new film She Came To Me. (The title was given a SAG-AFTRA waiver amidst the ongoing strike.)
Lee’s single-wool cropped blazer with padded shoulders and contrasting under-corset is now available to online, as is the mid-rise straight leg trousers with contrasting waistbands that Hathaway is also wearing. For a few years now, Hathaway has been cementing her role as a bonafide fashion muse—it’s almost as though Pierpaolo Piccioli designed his viral Valentino Garavani pink pumps just for her—but, admittedly, this Dion Lee number is definitely a bolder look for the actress. And we love it.

Starring Hathaway, Marisa Tomei and Peter Dinklage She Came To Me tells the story of a composer who suffers writer’s block and then rediscovers his passion after an adventurous one-night stand.
“A lot of the time people refer to a film as a romantic comedy, and this is sort of a love comedy in that it’s not only about romantic love. It’s an ensemble film in which people experience love in all sorts of different ways,” Hathaway said in the television interview. “At a certain point later on in the film, everything clicks into place and it just cracked my heart open. I felt that when I read the screenplay and I felt that when I saw the film.”
