She’s been working out on a daily basis for the last week – so it was no surprise to see Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looking predictably trim and toned after setting a stiletto heeled foot on UK soil this weekend.
The 26-year-old model and actress jetted back to the UK with boyfriend Jason Statham on Sunday after spending much of the last week in Los Angeles.
As the sultry star strode across Heathrow Airport in a black leather jacket, matching skinny jeans and stilettos, her gallant boyfriend pushed a luggage cart laden with bags and suitcases no doubt filled with the seemingly endless supply of crop tops and leggings Rosie sported for her regular visits to a gym in Studio City last week.
Indeed, the health-conscious star was photographed entering and exiting the fitness studio every day during her latest trip to LA, her long hair partially hidden beneath the New York Yankees cap she seemed to favour for her daily gym visits.
Arriving at Heathrow after a long flight, Rosie looked a little tired as she walked between Jason and airport assistant, who dutifully pushed a second trolley of heavy looking luggage.
The star’s fledgling movie career – restricted to the one big-screen appearance in Transformers: dark of the Moon – is set to blossom over the next 12-months thanks to her prominent role in the forthcoming Mad Max: Fury Road.
The film will be the fourth in a franchise that helped make a star of Mel Gibson, who played existential loner Max in three films, culminating with Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome in 1985.
British actor Tom Hardy will take the lead in the new film, while Gibson is set to take a cameo role as ‘Drifter.’
Other actors to feature include Oscar-winner Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz and Riley Keough.
Speaking to Stylist last year, Rosie – whose character is called ‘Splendid’ – admitted she couldn’t wait to get started on the new project.
‘It looks like it’s going to be a really exciting journey for me,’ she said. ‘I think it’ll be a fantastic film. I can’t talk too much about (my role). But I’m really excited. It’s been a really fun project so far.’
Mad Max: Fury Road has been slated for release in 2014.
