The NBA’s last two minute report confirms Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant wasn’t fouled in the final moments of the team’s loss vs San Antonio.
PHOENIX — The NBA just released their last two minute report from the Phoenix Suns’ 115-114 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, and their official review reveals Kevin Durant wasn’t fouled in the closing seconds of the game.
Durant was apparently swiped across the face after receiving the ball from an inbound play, which caused him to lose control of the ball and eventually led to a game-winning basket with 1.2 seconds remaining:

Comments from the NBA’s report:
“Jones (SAS) jumps as Durant (PHX) turns and steps, resulting in incidental body contact. Jones then reaches for the ball when Durant brings it above his head, resulting in marginal contact, and Johnson (SAS) cleanly ᵴtriƥs the ball.
“Johnson (SAS) steals the ball away from Durant (PHX) and any contact that occurs is incidental.”
The Suns sure didn’t agree with the no-call.
“Yeah, they fouled him. The refs didn’t call it. They wacked him on the arm, before the ball gets ripped out of his hands, no call, but in a situation like that, we try to get the ball quick inbounds to our 90-percent free throw shooter and we did, but it didn’t work out.”
Durant said everything happened so fast on the final play.
“I am expecting them to trap, but that is out of my control. I am trying to make the play, but it happened so fast. I should have held onto it,” Durant said.
Phoenix will host San Antonio for a rematch on Thursday.
