Surprising claims surfaced over the weekend in Brazil that Lionel Messi had cheated on Antonella Roccuzzo, his wife.
The two met in their hometown of Rosario when they were small 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, and they have known each other ever since.
Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro are Messi and Roccuzzo’s three 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren together. They were married in 2017.
The couple is happily married and currently resides in America; there have never been any scandals involving them.
But during the weekend, naughty rumors began to circulate about them.
The ‘worst crisis’ to date for Messi and Roccuzzo’s relationship, according to a post made on Friday on X by the Brazilian publication Direto Do Miolo.
They claimed that Messi had an affair and that as a result, their marriage was on the verge of dissolution.
They claim that the legendary football player cheated on Roccuzzo by seeing an Argentinean journalist.
The 36-year-old has been questioned by the aforementioned journalist several times throughout the years.
But it doesn’t seem like there is anything true about the rumors right now.
Direto Do Miolo made light of their grave accusations by quoting Spanish sources that don’t seem to exist.
Additionally, Daniella Semaan, the spouse of Cesc Fabregas and a close friend of the Messi family, has refuted the rumors.
Messi and Fabregas were teammates in Barcelona’s La Masia program before moving on to the senior team, thus they have also known one another since their early years.
Semaan posted on social media, “What publication is this that has no meaning… and has nothing right?”
At this point, it’s unknown if Messi intends to respond to the rumors regarding his personal life.
The journalist that Messi is alleged to have been with previously honored the football legend before Argentina and France’s World Cup final.
She ignored everyday life in order to wax poetic over the football legend, and as a result, her speech went viral.
“The last thing I want to tell you, and is not a question, but I just wanted to say; the World Cup final is coming and sure, we all [Argentinians] want to win the Cup,” she said.
“I just want to tell you that no matter the results, there’s something that no one can take from you and that is the fact you resonated with Argentinians, every single one. I’m being serious.
“There’s no kid who doesn’t have your team shirt.
“No matter if it is a fake, real or made up one.
“Truly, you made your mark in everyone’s life and that to me is beyond winning any World Cup.
“No one can take that from you and this is my gratitude for such amount of happiness you bring to a lot of people.
“I seriously hope you take these words into your heart because I really believe that’s more important than winning a World Cup and you already have it, so thank you captain.”
