Patrick Mahomes’ wife leads calls for Kansas City Chiefs star to win award but quarterback will hope to skip event

The Kansas City Chiefs are 8-3 entering their Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers.

KANSAS City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes’s wife, Brittany, wants her man to be voted to the Pro Bowl.

The 28-year-old star’s wife took to her Instagram on Monday and shared a link to encourage fans to vote Patrick into this year’s Pro Bowl.

Brittany shared a link to the NFL’s Pro Bowl voting on her IG story with a heartfelt caption: “Ya’ll know what to do.”

However, Patrick and the Chiefs would likely like to avoid playing in the Pro Bowl and instead play in the Super Bowl the following week.

If the Chiefs advance to the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season, Mahomes will be forced to miss the Pro Bowl since it takes place the week before the big game.

Kansas City sits atop its division in the AFC West with an 8-3 record and holds a two-game lead over the second-place Denver Broncos.

Entering their Week 13 showdown with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, the Chiefs have had a strong season despite dealing with injuries.

But, after this Sunday in their game against the Packers, Mahomes and crew are not scheduled to be on another primetime game for the rest of the regular season.

Kansas City was originally scheduled to face the struggling New England Patriots on Monday Night Football on ESPN for Week 15, but the NFL decided to flex the game for a more compelling match.

The Chiefs will now face the Patriots on Sunday, December. 17, at 1 PM ET on FOX.

The team Kansas City knocked off in the Super Bowl last season will take over the MNF slot in the Philadelphia Eagles.

ESPN will showcase the Eagles road battle against the playoff-hopeful Seattle Seahawks.

If Kansas City were to repeat as Super Bowl Champions, they would likely have to go through a crowd of star-studded AFC teams in the Lamar Jackson-led Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars guided by star young-signal caller in Trevor Lawrence.

And if the Chiefs fail to reach the Super Bowl, Mahomes will be headed to the Pro Bowl as he has thrown for 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions for 2917 yards in 11 games.
