Instead of celebrating with family and friends, Musk locked himself in the four walls of Tesla’s office for 24 hours

Tesla has been under great pressure recently, as it needs to ensure Model 3 vehicle output must meet set targets to meet pre-ordered customers. And the person under the greatest pressure at Tesla is none other than CEO Elon Musk .

In an interview with the New York Times, Elon Musk shared that he had to work continuously, sometimes 120 hours without a break recently. Even on his 47th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day last June, Elon Musk had to work alone all night at the Tesla office.

It’s been about 20 years that Elon Musk hasn’t had a week-long vacation. The last time he took a break was in 2007, when he contracted malaria.

His 53th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day, on June 28, was an incredibly lonely experience, he said. Instead of celebrating with family and friends, Musk locked himself inside the four walls of Tesla’s offices for 24 hours. He had to oversee the production of Tesla’s Model 3 cars, which were behind schedule.

“All night long, no friends, nothing,” Elon Musk shared.

Also in this interview, there was a time when Elon Musk had to cry. Only then did we realize how hard it was and how much burden the Tesla CEO had on his shoulders.
