Anna Hathaway is still short of a goal she’s yet to achieve.
Anne Hathaway has established an astounding acting career with her versatility and ever-glowing charm. Known for her breakthrough role in The Princess Diaries (2001), she captivated audiences’ hearts with a panoply of roles that have spanned from the superhero genre to the fashion world.

With nearly 50 projects under her belt, she has effortlessly showcased her acting prowess but the actress is still not satisfied. She has recently revealed that her one particular goal is yet alive in her.
Anne Hathaway Wants to Work on Broadway!
Anne Hathaway made a surprise appearance on Gutenberg Broadway back in January this year along with Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour! The duo made cameos as the “Producers” on the Gutenberg show starring Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells as best friends, Bud and Goug put on a Broadway musical.
Since each show ends with a celebrity walking onstage as a ‘Broadway producer‘ to present them, the ladies did the same. The 74-year-old influential figure stated that she was “a very famous Broadway producer” and turned to look at the former, commenting, “And this is my assistant.”
Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada
This was an unexpected homage to Hathaway’s iconic movie, The Devil Wears Prada, and the actress now delves more into her Broadway experience. Speaking with V Magazine, she commented, “Am I gross if I say ‘home’?“
She went on to explain that she still wants to work on Broadway.
“Yeah, I really want that, there’s no hiding it. [Being on Broadway] was my first dream, you know? And so many amazing, extraordinary things have happened to me but not that one yet. It’s a goal that is very, very much alive inside of me.”
Given that she has already made a cameo in a show she always wanted to work in, the dream might not be far away. Hathaway has old connections with the fashion world thanks to her role as Andrea ‘Andie’ Sachs. She is the second assistant to Meryl Streep’s character Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of a high fashion magazine, Runaway.
Anne Hathaway’s Onscreen Boss from The Devil Wears Prada is Reportedly Inspired by Anna WintourAnne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada
It was truly iconic for Wintour to recreate The Devil Wears Prada vibes on the show, but she seemingly has a strong link with the project. Based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, Andie’s tyrant boss was reportedly inspired by the Vogue editor.
While there’s no way to verify the fact, certain facts connected to Streep’s character seemingly hint at the same. For the unversed, Weisberger has worked as Wintour’s assistant following her college graduation.
During her time at Vogue, she was able to understand the ins and outs of the job, which later served as inspiration for her book. Though it remains a mystery whether the author based the character on the renowned fashion personality, Meryl Streep is confirmed to have taken men as her inspiration to portray the character.
In an interview with NPR, Hathaway’s co-star, Emily Blunt revealed,
“Although Meryl didn’t actually base it on Anna Wintour – well, she told Anna that. She based it on two men in Hollywood that she knew – who will remain nameless, but I know who they are.”
Another important trait to consider is their formidable will as both Prestley and Wintour handled any crisis boldly, carrying the weight of the magazine. Whereas, the Little Women star once revealed that Clint Eastwood is her inspiration for her vocal cues, which made her character intimidating on screen.
