Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are so in love that celebrating one anniversary just isn’t enough. In addition to marking their wedding anniversary every year, the couple also like to commemorate the day they got engaged.
On Friday (July 19), Jonas wrote a sweet tribute to his wife on their six-year engagement anniversary on Instagram. “I asked the most amazing woman in the world to marry me 6 years ago today,” the singer wrote alongside a throwback photo from the proposal. He added, “Thank you for saying yes @priyankachopra.”
In the cute snapshot, Jonas smiled at the camera, while Chopra hid her face behind the couple’s intertwined hands with her sparkling cushion-cut diamond ring from Tiffany & Co front and center. The actress reshared the post on her Instagram Stories and replied: “I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since this day.”
After just two months of dating, Chopra and Jonas, who are parents to a 2-year-old daughter named Malti Marie, got engaged in Crete in July 2018 while celebrating the Quantico alum’s 36th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day at the time. That same year in December, the pair had a multi-day wedding celebration with two ceremonies at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in India. A western-style wedding officiated by Jonas’s dad was followed by a traditional Hindu ceremony honoring Chopra’s heritage the next day.
This is the second time this week Jonas has publicly shouted out his wife. Just a few days earlier, the Jonas Brothers singer posted a carousel of stunning photos of Chopra—including one of her wearing a yellow bikini and another of the actress in a green two-piece set—on Instagram. “The woman that you are. How lucky am I,” he wrote in honor of her 42nd 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day. “Happy 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day my love.”
