Brad Pitt feels helpless as his son continues to refuse to contact him as Pax Thien recovers from a horrific bike accident, with mother Angelina Jolie by his side.
Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt was released from intensive care over the weekend after being treated for crashing his electric bike into the back of a car stopped at a red light on Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Angeles on July 29.
Pax Thien often did not wear a helmet while riding
A new witness to the crash has revealed horrifying details of the “complex injuries” the 20-year-old suffered, confirming he was not wearing a helmet.
Lola Cavalli, who administered first aid to Pax at the scene, told Entertainment Tonight that Pax Thien was bleeding from the head.
“His mouth was full of blood. When he tried to speak, I saw a small stream of blood coming out of his mouth,” Lola Cavalli said.
Pax Thien is now on a long road to recovery and physical therapy, with mother Angelina Jolie staying by his side throughout.
According to sources, Pax Thien “doesn’t want any well wishes” from “father” Brad Pitt, despite the “heartbroken” Hollywood actor’s determination to help in any way he can.
A source exclusively told DailyMail.com that Brad also wants his family relationship to remain intact and wants to know about his son’s health.
“Don’t think Pax Thien’s accident will bring the family relationship back in any way because this son is completely on Angie’s side and doesn’t want any well wishes or remorse from Brad,” the source said.

The source added: “Brad is sad that Pax Thien is injured and really wants to help in any way he can during his son’s recovery, but it seems like that will never happen because there is a permanent separation and distance between them.
Brad is heartbroken that things have gotten to the point where he can’t even be a concerned father because all he gets is speechless silence when he knows exactly what is happening to his son.
It’s just another painful situation in Brad’s normal life. He hopes that everyone can get through it because this situation involves everyone’s lives, but the emotions between Pax Thien, Angie and Brad are so bad that there will never be a time when things will be okay.”
“Brad doesn’t know what to do because he can’t do anything or isn’t allowed to do anything, which is heartbreaking,” the source said.
But another insider said: “A father will go to the hospital or call his son. He’s tried so many times but the kids won’t answer his calls.”
Pax Thien, like his other siblings, has been estranged from his famous father since the plane incident.
Angelina adopted Pax Thien from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City in 2007. He was three years old at the time. Brad officially adopted him the following year.
