Tiger Woods Wanted to Postpone Divorce With Now Ex-Wife Elin Nordegren Despite Irreconcilable Differences; Here’s Why

‘You can’t float a sinking boat’, and who else to stand as an example of the saying if not the GOAT himself? Yes, you may be surprised to hear that Tiger Woods did, in fact, try to save his marriage or rather postpone the divorce with his now ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, but for the reasons you might be thinking. We all know how the messy divorce was all over the news in 2010, but what you might not know are the little details that are finally showing themselves.

In a 2-month-old YouTube video posted by Cordell and Cordell William Halaz III, the details of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s prenuptial agreement were revealed and you won’t believe the numbers here! So, here’s the thing – Woods and Nordegren’s prenup said she’d get $20 million if they made it to 10 years of marriage. However, following the scandal that led to their divorce, the initial reports suggested that Nordegren’s settlement would be a staggering $750 million. Can you believe it?

In the end, though, she walked away with around $100 million. It’s pretty wild that Woods actually tried to convince Nordegren to stick it out a bit longer by offering her $5 million upfront and another $55 just so she’d hit that 10-year mark and score the $10 million payout from their prenup if she stuck around until 2011. But according to Nordegren, money couldn’t buy happiness. “Money doesn’t make you happy, but I have to be honest: It is making some things easier,” said Nordegren, per People.

But after all that, they wanted nothing but the best for each other. It was clear that Nordegren was hurt by what Woods did, but she stood her place and is now happier than she ever was.

Elin Nordegren’s life after her divorce from Tiger Woods

Elin Nordegren’s world was turned upside down when her marriage to Tiger Woods ended, and it seemed like her dreams of a big, happy family were shattered. But, as it often does, life had other plans! Nordegren found the strength to focus on raising her two kids with Tiger, Sam, and Charlie, and eventually, love came knocking again. In 2017, she met retired NFL player Jordan Cameron, and it’s been a beautiful blend of family and love ever since.

The only thing she ever wanted was a big and beautiful family and well now Nordegren’s got a full house – six kids and counting! There’s Tristan, Jordan’s son from a previous relationship, her two kiddos with Tiger, and three adorable little ones with Jordan, Zeta, Freya, and Arthur. Can you imagine the laughter and chaos on family night? It’s truly heartwarming to see Elin’s journey from heartbreak to happiness. Nordegren’s case is a standing example of how things always have a way of working themselves out.
