Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs are calling the team’s harsh Christmas schedule “criminal” after only recently understanding it.

Andy Reid has sounded a defiant note ahead of the team’s three-peat attempt

THE Kansas City Chiefs fans are far from happy with the brutal Christmas schedule their team is facing this season.

Andy Reid’s team is aiming to create NFL history this season, as they attempt to become the first to ever win three Super Bowls in a row.

But they’ll be pushed to the limits at the very end of the year when they face three games in quick succession.

The Chiefs will travel to the Cleveland Browns for a Sunday afternoon game on December 15.

They then have a Saturday afternoon meeting with the Houston Texans on December 21.

And there is then the quickest of turnarounds before the Chiefs are in action again on Christmas Day.

Their December 25 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers will be shown by Netflix, as the streaming giant broadcasts the NFL for the first time.

The Chiefs posted their schedule on X with the message, “And so it begins.”

And plenty of fans are clearly not amused by the festive schedule they can look forward to.

“3 games in a ten day time-span is criminal lmao,” one fan said.

“December is a gauntlet, with 3 games in 10 days. Yikes,” another fan posted.

“I still don’t know how the players association is letting that insane December schedule slide, besties,” a third fan said.

“Can’t wait for the season, but December looks mad,” a fourth fan posted.

“Horrible December schedule there, one of the worst I’ve ever seen,” a fifth fan said.

The whole Chiefs schedule has a maverick feel to it, also including a Black Friday clash with the Las Vegas Raiders.

In fact, the only day of the week that they don’t play is Tuesday.

Reid sounded a defiant note after the schedules were released in May.

“It’s the first time in my career that this has happened, it’s unique and you know how we are, we don’t really care,” he said.

“They can give us a Tuesday game if they want, and we’ll be okay there, too.

“We work through it, we’ll play anybody, anywhere, whatever they want to do. We’re on board.”

The Chiefs kick off their campaign with the first game of the NFL season.

Kansas City will face the Baltimore Ravens on September 5.
