The former England captain has been criticised in the past for kissing his youngest 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 on the lips

David Beckham was spotted kissing daughter Harper, seven, on the lips at a World Cup match after being slammed by trolls in the past.

The 44-year-old shared a peck with his youngest 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 as they watched England take on Norway at their quarter-final clash on Thursday.

Along with grandmother Sandra, David and Harper had a blast cheering on the Lionesses to a 3-0 win at Stade Oceane in Le Havre.

Even before the game, the Beckham clan looked to be in greats spirits, as David shared multiple snaps of them meeting the team and manager Phil Neville.

During the match, David and Harper were seen taking part in a Mexican Wave and later high-fiving each other as England netted a goal.

David has made no secret of his hope that his only daughter will follow in his footsteps and find a passion for football that his three sons are missing.

“Harper is playing every Sunday and loves it. The boys don’t play and it’s heartbreaking,” David revealed on The Graham Norton Show last May.

In the past David’s closeness to daughter Harper has been slammed by cruel trolls who have criticised him for kissing her on the lips.

The dad-of-four previously hit headlines in November when he got viciously trolled for kissing Harper during a day out ice-skating in London.

The former England star went onto defend his behaviour, insisting he shows love to all his kids.

He said: “I got actually criticised for kissing my daughter on the lips the other day.

“I kiss all my kids on the lips.”

He added: “I’m very affectionate with the kids. It’s how I was brought up and Victoria, and it’s how we are with our 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.

“We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and we’re very affectionate with them.”

One of his most vocal critics is newsman Piers Morgan, who called it “weird”.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain earlier this month, Piers lashed out at Beckham over his smooches.

He said: “Why would a father kiss his daughter on the lips? Don’t get it. Creepy. Weird. Creepy.

“No one does that. You post that to the world, but why?”

Piers – who has three sons and a daughter – continued muttering: “Weird, weird, weird.”
