Khloé Kardashian’s gynecologist was all apologies after she made a big mistake — a “traumatic” one, the doctor revealed — while the reality star was in labor with daughter True in 2018.
Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, Kardashian’s OB/GYN in Beverly Hills, told The Cut in an interview published on Wednesday, September 25, that she accidentally tipped off TMZ that her client was in labor in Cleveland at the time. (Kardashian, now 40, was living in Ohio at the time for then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s NBA career.)
As for what exactly happened, Aliabadi posted a photo of herself in the lobby of the hospital. Though she blocked out the name of the exact hospital, knowing that Aliabadi was Kardashian’s doctor — and The Kardashians star was due to give 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 any day — TMZ put two and two together.
“Saturday night at work,” Aliabadi wrote over her Instagram selfie at the time. “It’s never ending but I love my job.”
In the caption of the photo, she added the telling hashtag, “#doctorswhotravel.”
TMZ, in their report at the time, noted, “We’ve confirmed the hospital Dr. Aliabadi posted from is, in fact, just outside of Cleveland … guess it’s almost 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 time.”
“It was so traumatic,” Aliabadi reflected in her recent interview with The Cut. “I started texting Khloé, ‘I’m so sorry. I swear to God.'”

Fortunately for the doctor, Kardashian understood the accidental mishap.
“She said, ‘Don’t worry — I saw your post, it was so innocent,'” Aliabadi recalled.
In fact, four years later, Aliabadi made an unbelievably generous offer to Kardashian when she was struggling after the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of her son Tatum. (Tatum, who was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in July 2022, was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 via surrogate just several months after news broke that Thompson had welcomed a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 boy with Maralee Nichols outside of his relationship with Kardashian.)
During an episode of the SHE MD podcast earlier this year, Kardashian revealed that Dr. Aliabadi offered to take Tatum home with her after the Good American founder was having an extremely difficult time coping with the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of her new𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 due to the surrogacy and amid Thompson’s scandal.
“‘You know what?’ I’ll deliver the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦. I’ll take the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 and you let me know when you’re ready to pick him up,'” Kardashian recalled her OB/GYN saying. “And I was like, ‘What?’ I’m like, ‘Who does this? Who even offers that?’ And she did. And I remember I was like to myself, ‘Khloé, snap out of it. This is life. We got to do this.'”
