The actress spoke of her love for the 2014 sci fi film in a tribute post on Instagram on Oct. 27

Anne Hathaway still has a strong connection to Interstellar a decade after the film’s release.

In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, Oct. 27, the actress, 41, discussed her love and attachment to Christopher Nolan’s sci fi film Interstellar, in which she starred, while marking its 10th anniversary.

Hathaway first quoted the movie as she shared a clip of herself as the character Dr. Brand from one of the film’s final scenes. “ ‘Love is the one thing we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. Maybe we should trust that, even if we can’t understand it,’ ” she wrote.

The actress then spoke about how her ever-growing love for the film.

“Over time, my already oceanic love for #ChristopherNolan’s @interstellarmovie has only grown more and more dimensional,” she continued. “It is still one of the honors of my life to have been asked to play Dr. Brand,” referring to her character in the movie.

Hathaway concluded her post by paying tribute to executive producer on the film, Lynda Obst, who died just a few days prior on Oct. 22, per The Hollywood Reporter.

“Huge love and thanks to everyone involved, especially the one-and-only Lynda Obst who now makes the heavens brighter with her divine presence x,” she wrote.

Hathaway starred in the 2014 sci-fi film Interstellar, alongside Matthew McConaughey, Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine and Timothée Chalamet.

The Oscar-winning film follows the story of ex-NASA pilot Joseph Cooper (McConaughey) who is tasked to lead a spacecraft of researchers into space to seek a new planet for humans after Earth becomes uninhabitable.

Hathaway’s anniversary tribute to the film comes after speaking earlier this year about the pivotal part director Nolan, 54, played in helping with her career after facing significant scrutiny online.

“A lot of people wouldn’t give me roles because they were so concerned about how toxic my identity had become online,” the actress told Vanity Fair in March. “I had an angel in Christopher Nolan, who did not care about that and gave me one of the most beautiful roles I’ve had in one of the best films that I’ve been a part of.”

“I don’t know if he knew that he was backing me at the time, but it had that effect. And my career did not lose momentum the way it could have if he hadn’t backed me,” Hathaway shared.

Earlier in the month, the actress confirmed her return to another beloved film of hers as she announced her involvement in The Princess Diaries 3.

Hathaway posted a video of herself on Instagram lounging outside and holding up one finger, then two and lastly three as she said, “Three,” before adding, “Shut up.”
