AN urban explorer has visited an eerie abandoned hospital and found what looked like a post-apocalyptic movie scene.
Ben Stevens captured eerie pictures and videos of the century-old building, which has been vacant for over seven years.

The 30-year-old discovered JB Thomas Hospital in Peabody, Massachusetts, after reading about it online.
After checking Google Maps, he found the building was still there and made plans to explore.
Inside, he found all the equipment, including beds, mattresses, and even biohazardous waste, had been abandoned.
He came across multiple operating rooms and wards, however some of the rooms were falling apart.
Stevens described the place as a location something like in the post-apocalyptic drama, The Last of Us.
“It was just crazy inside and reminded me of something from The Last of Us,” Stevens, who is from Cambridge in the United Kingdom, told What’s The Jam.
“It was as if the world had ended and the hospital had just stayed there.
“Everything was left. There were operating rooms, biohazards, and records.
“The wards were still there but they were falling apart.”
A sign also remained at the property showing all the different departments.
An incredible overhead shot captured by Stevens shows the facility’s sheer size.
The hospital closed in October 2017 due to declining admissions and Medicare enrollments.
Now, the building stands empty and alone while its walls slowly start to decay.
It’s named after JB Thomas, who was a prominent manufacturer in the 1800s.
After his death, Thomas left $50,000 to the town of Peabody, which the local leaders used to build the hospital in 1907.

The hospital was renamed the Lahey Medical Center Peabody and was managed by the city until it was sold to the Lahey Clinic Foundation in 1993.
Now, the property is owned by the Hemisphere Development Group, which purchased the building with plans to construct a condominium community.
However, the project faced backlash from locals, and the development company ditched its plan.
According to Stevens, the hospital was, “incredibly creepy, and apparently other people who have been inside have said it was haunted.
“I liked everything about it, I thought it was very eerie.”
