Golf runs in the blood of Trump! Following in her grandfather’s footsteps, Kai Trump has always been fascinated with golf. Thus, you would usually see her teeing up and sharing the same on her social media profile. Recently, Kai Trump’s Instagram recorded an uptick after her school, Benjamin High School secured a victory at the women’s district championship.

The Buccaneers women’s team played the 13-1A Girls team championship hosted at the Trump International West Palm Beach, a course Jai Trump was fairly equipped with, unlike many in her teams. With 28 over 320 in the final event, the Bucs ran away with the victory while the Oxbridge Academy finished runner-up after posting 47 over. Individually, Kai Trump assisted a little for the final score.
Although she tried her best, the 14-year-old finished 6th individually in her team as she carded 11 over 84. The highest scorer from Benjamin High School was Kaitlyn Hummers, who lifted the individual district championship trophy after posting 1 over 74, as the Palm Beach Post reported. With an ordinary score of 84, Kai Trump might be at risk of being benched by the Bucs, just like Charlie Woods was in September.
However, for now, the junior golfer has her eyes fixed on her school’s victory in the team championship as she celebrated and wrote in an Instagram post, “District champs!” While Kai Trump could lift the trophy at the Trump National West Palm Beach, was Charlie Woods lucky enough to play and help his team win, too?
Did Charlie Woods’ team clinch the district championship?
It was probably the stress of missing the US Amateur cut or not winning any junior event that Charlie Woods rarely teed up at any junior events. And even his team didn’t choose him to tee up under the Benjamin High School umbrella. But at the District 13-1A District Championship, Woods’s luck worked in his favor. He was no longer benched!
Unsurprisingly, as soon as he hit the course, the 15-year-old showed that he had recovered from his past failures. Like Kai Trump, Woods also finished 6th on the individual leaderboard as his score was 1 over 73, four strokes behind, winner Andrew Tsar, who carded 3 under 69. While the Bucs won the Men’s team championship with 3 over 291 at Champions Club at Summerfield (Stuart) and posted on Instagram saying, “Wasn’t pretty but got the job done at districts. Onto regionals.”
The Oxbridge Academy and Benjamin High School will now advance on to the Region 4-1A Championships at Miami Shores Golf Club on Monday. It remains to be seen if Charlie Woods and Kai Trump will be part of their respective teams and once again, assist the Buccaneers to lift another team trophy. The goal for this time would surely be to lift the individual honors too!
