Admittedly, I don’t take that many risks with my style. With the exception of a few funkier items, the base of my wardrobe consists of classic, neutral-toned pieces I can rewear for numerous occasions. Once in a while, though, I’ll spot an edgier trend that even I can’t pass up. The most recent example? A pair of towering, chunky lace-up boots.
Over the weekend, Anne Hathaway looked chic as ever when she paired tall combat boots with an oversized blazer, quilted bag, and aviator sunnies. A departure from her typical sleek style, the star’s combat boots gave this look a much grungier feel. Incidentally, Hathaway isn’t the only fan of these stompers—Taylor Swift has sported similar tall boots. Given the flattering, leg-lengthening design, I can see why. Since I’m always looking for ways to give my short stature a boost, I searched for lookalikes on Amazon, where I found similar lace-up boots, starting at $48.
