After Nike ended its contract with Tiger Woods in January 2024, rumors were that he would launch his apparel brand. A few weeks later Woods came up with Sun Day Red, in collaboration with TaylorMade. However, it did not stand up to the expectations as it received a lot of backlash due to its expensive range of products that too of subpar quality. Now, SDR, no matter if it’s Woods’s brand, isn’t prone to competition. Most latest is from Off-White Company.

Paris Hilinski, who joined Cobra Golf 5 months back for her 2024 LET season, was spotted wearing a red and black polo from the newly expanded Off-White Company in Saudi Arabia. This was great marketing for the brand, goes without saying. This new brand has a greater grip in the market as it is backed by an $8.5 billion company, BlueStar Alliance. This has once again put Tiger Woods in hot waters. But, there is a silver lining, all thanks to Kai Young, Donald Trump’s granddaughter.
Initially, SDR only had male attire, but it recently, launched a female collection too, and it is available on the website to shop. The 17-year-old golfing prodigy posted a vlog on YouTube, going Sunset golfing at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. And guess what? She was spotted wearing Tiger Woods’s brand hoodie. This will in turn be a great marketing strategy for the 82X PGA Tour Pro, given her popularity.
Kai Trump is on the rise and is garnering a lot of attention in the golf world. Yes, she did not perform so great at the regional level of the State Championship but this does not take away whatever she has done so far in the sport.

Just a week ago, Tiger Woods launched a new series of golf markers named Half Moon. These were priced at $50, which is way too expensive for a small accessory which most of the time the golfers end up losing according to the fans. So, Kai endorsing the brand just because she likes it is the support Woods‘s brand could use at the moment.
While Donald Trump’s eldest granddaughter was in full support of Tiger Woods’s brand, turns out his son, Charlie Woods, is not much of a help there.
Charlie Woods’s confusing brand selections
Since the launch of Sun Day Red, Charlie Woods has shown variety in his apparel choices. The teenage golfer wore Greyson during the 2023 PNC Championship, sparking sponsorship rumors, and sported a Titleist cap at the Lost Lake Golf Club, highlighting his diverse style preferences on the course. A few months later, Charlie Woods was seen wearing Nike, which was followed by him opting for his father’s brand SDR at the Adam Scott Junior Invitational.
However, the entire outfit was not of the same brand. He wore his same old ‘Titleist’ cap. And well, in July, when he managed to grab a win at the South Florida Junior PGA Cup, he opted for a different brand. Seeing his son not wearing the brand himself has raised a lot of questions about the brand in the golf community.
