Did Kylie Jenner have a facelift? Plastic surgeons weigh in on what’s behind reality star’s ‘lifted’ new look

Kylie Jenner debuted a taut new look while attending the 2024 CFDA Awards at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Monday night.

FEMAIL reached out to plastic surgeons to find out what they think led to Kylie’s snatched appearance – and why the facelift rumors are false.

Last year, in an episode of The Kardashians, the beauty mogul broke down in tears as she recalled the comments trolls made about how much older she looks.

In 2015, after months of speculation, Kylie admitted to getting lip injections and revealed her thin lips were an ‘insecurity,’ and later, she said she dissolved half of them.

The reality star told The Wall Street Journal in 2023 that she ‘never touched’ her face, although she opened up about getting her breasts done when she was 19, before the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of her daughter, Stormi.

Celebrity facial plastic surgeon Dr. Persky in Encino, California, told DailyMail.com that Kylie ‘shows no signs of facelift surgery’ – and that at Kylie’s age, she’d be too young.

‘In my opinion, patients under 40 to 45 are too young for facelift surgery,’ Dr. Persky said.

Instead, Dr. Persky believes her ‘snatched’ look could be from a non-invasive treatment like EmFace, which ‘combines electromagnetic energy and synchronized radiofrequency energy to lift and sculpt facial contours while reducing wrinkles.’

Chicago-based plastic surgeon Dr. David Hill thinks the beauty guru owes her look to a combination of layered tweakments and makeup techniques.

‘Botox could easily account for her decreased ability to emote, as well as a slight elevated brow,’ Dr. Hill told DailyMail.com.

Dr. Hill explained that injecting around the muscles that surround the eyes can give a subtle lift.

Dr. Hill also thinks laser resurfacing could have been done to stimulate collagen production, which ‘gives skin a youthful glow and a slightly tighter look,’ making it a popular procedure before big red carpet events.

Dr. Hill believes it’s possible Kylie had some fillers removed, which ‘could explain the more natural contours and sharper angles’ of her face, which could also lead to a more lifted look.

‘My suspicion is that Kylie had an endoscopic browlift or a temporal browlift,’ Dr. Hill surmised. ‘These are both minimally invasive surgical procedures where small incisions are made in or along the hairline to lift and secure the eyebrows.’

‘These techniques offer more lasting results compared to Botox or threads and if her look stays this elevated in the coming months, it is almost certainly surgical,’ Dr. Hill explained.

Dr. Hill believes it’s not a facelift, because his younger patients usually opt for more undetectable ‘tweakments,’ as opposed to surgery, to achieve ‘lifted, rejuvenated looks.’

‘A surgical facelift is typically reserved for people in their late thirties or older, when more advanced signs of aging – like loss of elasticity or deeper wrinkles – start to appear,’ Dr. Hill said.
