Elon Musk’s sister says she’s been overcharged because she shares a surname with the world’s richest man.
Tosca Musk, who is a filmmaker, told the Daily Mail that the Musk name was a “blessing and a curse” and that it had once led to her being given an inflated price for a film location.
‘The location was going to cost $5,000 a day,” she told the news outlet, “but when they heard my name and assumed we were rich, they decided to charge us $25,000.”
“Everyone assumes my eldest brother pays for everything, but he does not,” she said, adding that it was a “double-edged sword” to say whether or not her brother helped her with her business. The siblings also share another brother, the restaurateur and philanthropist Kimbal Musk.
