Photographing 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡s, Dannelle Hale is aware of how difficult labor can be for first-time parents. When she was eventually urged to push, Karissa and James, a couple she recently photographed, were precisely feeling that way. James had the greatest emotional upheaval when he became a father for the first time and witnessed the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of his daughter. Thank goodness Dannille was there to record it.
In her Instagram remark, Dannille said, “I witnessed this dad stroll across the floor and stand helplessly as his wife rode through the waves. “I took a quick glance at James, who was tensely gripping Karissa’s hand and encouraging her. Even though he was terrified, I witnessed him hoist her up in the waves and apply pressure again to her.
Karissa was concerned that because she had never given 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 before, she wouldn’t be able to handle the pain. “James was quite anxious when labor started and his wife was in discomfort,” Dannille added. Karissa repeatedly remarked that she couldn’t take the agony during labor and that she didn’t do well with it. She became a crazy rock star and overcome everything, so you’ll never know. The best support system is James. Despite the fact that he lifted her up and held her hand, you can still see the fear on his face.
James’ anxiety was at an all-time high when Karissa was informed that she was too far along in labor to receive an epidural. She said, “In the end, she requested an epidural, but they told her when they last checked her out, it was too late, the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 was right there, and it was time to push.” Even though her father was already concerned, he came together to support her when she needed it.
“I think things hit him as soon as their daughter was placed on his chest; all the stress and anxiety he was holding inside, the feeling of seeing his new daughter and the pride in his wife really hit him at the same time, and he stepped back and took it all out.”
