Taylor Swift stepped out this Monday in New York City in a look that made the preppy aesthetic—known for its perfectionism and poise—look both comfortable and effortless.
The schoolgirl-chic ensemble was composed of boyfriend shirt, a miniskirt, a hat, and chunky shoes with socks. The top was an oversize white button-up with green ᵴtriƥes by the Row, and the skirt was actually a pleated 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦-blue mini skort by Free People made out of a breezy cotton fabric.
The chunky shoes were lace-ups by Malone Souliers; the “Midnight Rain” singer paired them with frilly tan long socks. She additionally accessorized with a gray leather shoulder bag with gold hardware by Patou, a navy blue baseball cap, silver rings, a gold necklace with a “Give You the Moon Charm” from Catbird’s collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers, and big gold hoop earrings.
She wore her signature bright red lip (with an orangey hue, this time) and dark eyeliner, and her hair was down in messy waves.

The pop star has been showing off her low-key street style in Manhattan between Eras Tour stops. Last month, she debuted a pretty all-white spring look composed of an eyelet Ralph Lauren bustier top and a matching Ralph Lauren midi skirt. She finished the outfit with strappy sand-colored sandals and a Mansur Gavriel shoulder bag in the shade “desert.” Swift then accessorized with a dainty gold necklace and sky-blue quartz earrings by Larkspur & Hawk. She wore her hair in a ponytail and opted for rosy shadow, black cat-eye liner, and a bright red lip tint.
