The newest addition to the family, appropriately named Werewolf, was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 covered in hair from head to toe due to inheriting an uncommon gene that causes Werewolf Syndrome. At 22 days old, the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl’s mother, Savita Sambhaji Raut, expressed her concern for her daughter’s future but also embraced her fate.
She stated that regardless of her daughter’s physical appearance, she would love her unconditionally because she is her blood and her entire being.
Werewolf Syndrome, also known as hirsutism, is a medical condition that currently has no cure. The only solution is to accept and coexist with the condition. While hirsutism may be present at 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 or acquired later in life, Werewolf Syndrome affects the entire body, excluding pubic, facial, and axillary hair, which is androgen-dependent. There are only several hundred individuals in the world 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 with this condition.
Despite the challenges that may come with the condition, Werewolf’s family and father, Mr. Milind, are unaffected and thrilled to have a daughter. They are committed to ensuring that she receives all the love and care she needs. Although the family worries about her future, they remain hopeful that a solution will be found to help her feel confident in front of others as she grows older.
For now, Werewolf is well-loved by her family, and they remain optimistic that the situation will improve with time.
