Keanu Reeves‘ rock band Dogstar have confirmed they will release their first new music in 23 years, with a new album and lead single.
The three-piece group – also featuring Robert Mailhouse, Gregg Miller and Bret Domrose – dropped the ‘fun summer song’ Everything Turns Around on July 19, having played it live at The Roxy in Hollywood the previous night.
Upcoming LP Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees will be released on October 6 after the band teased their first music since 2000 in May.
Dogstar said: ‘We are so excited to re-introduce Dogstar with our new single Everything Turns Around. It feels like a fun summer song to us.
‘It has an uplifting message and a positive vibe that hopefully makes your day a little bit lighter.

‘It’s one of our favourite songs to play live and can’t wait to share it on our upcoming tour.’
Along with the release of their album, Dogstar have announced a tour which starts on August 10 and runs all the way through to the end of 2023.
After teasing the project two months ago, they wrote on Instagram: ‘Thank you everyone for the kind comments. We are overjoyed to see such a response.
‘Honestly, didn’t expect this. It makes us want to play out even more. We will be rolling out some new music this summer, followed by some gigs.
‘It’s the most satisfying and meaningful batch of songs we’ve ever done. Thanks again for being so patient with us. We truly have the best, most loyal fans!’
The tour, with over 25 dates, is mainly in the US, with a stint in Japan in September.
This caused excitement for many, as one fan commented: ‘For so many years we never even thought a come back was possible, this is like a dream come true. Seriously looking forward to it all.’
Another commented: ‘Can’t wait to have you guys back in Napa!!!’
However, there were fans across Europe and South America who missed out, although still excited by the new music.
One begged: ‘Soooooooo amazing! So happy to have you back! But pleeeease add European tour dates. We need you over here!’
