While the Studio has not officially confirmed this, rumors suggest that Marvel’s Echo will receive new abilities. If true, the character will gain ‘sharpshooting’ powers and wield a spiritual gun passed down from one of her ancestors. Some fans argue that this addition is unnecessary, as Alaqua Cox‘s character is already a badass woman with photographic reflexes and exceptional fighting s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s.
But the fans are genuinely thrilled about the involvement of the ruthless Daredevil villain, Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, despite his lackluster portrayal in Hawkeye. Marvel faced accusations of setting up the series to fail when they announced their decision to release all episodes at once on Disney, marking a departure from their usual episodic format. While this move may have had good intentions on Marvel’s part, fans express doubts about the series’ overall quality. The declining quality of MCU movies and series, the latest proof being Secret Invasion, has left many on the fence about Echo.
Also, an inside source has claimed that the series was initially bad, leading the studio to consider the ‘Batgirl’ treatment for the series. After some reshoots, Marvel executives had a change of heart, and the series is now scheduled to debut on November 29, 2023, on Disney.
Fans will have to wait and see if the new series can prove to be a saving grace amidst the concerns surrounding Marvel’s output.
