LeBron James and Stephen Curry have battled at the highest level of basketball in the NBA, but in 2024, they teamed to secure a gold medal for Team USA in the Paris Olympics.
James and Curry led Team USA to a 6-0 record in the Olympic Games after defeating France 98-87 in the final.
Following the game, James commented on the opportunity to play with Curry. He spoke on the urgency of getting Curry the ball on the offensive end, given his shooting ability.
“You just marvel at his talent,” James said. “Obviously, I’ve seen it before, you know, on the opposite side. But having him on your side, you just try to get stops and figure out other ways on the other end, but keep finding him. Keep getting him the ball.”

James, Curry, and Kevin Durant served as the veteran leaders for the Team USA basketball roster.
Head coach Steve Kerr’s main starting lineup included Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, James, Curry, and a variation of Jrue Holiday, Jayson Tatum or Durant.
While James served as the floor general in the Olympic final, Curry had most of the offensive responsibility. The Warriors star finished the game with a team-high 24 points and five assists, shooting 8-of-14 from three-point range.
James ended the night with 14 points and 10 assists, shooting 6-of-10 from the field.
The 39-year-old seemed to love his time sharing the court with arguably the greatest shooter of all time after being on the wrong end for much of Curry and the Warriors’ NBA dynasty from 2015-22.
Curry holds a 3-1 NBA Finals series lead over the current Los Angeles Lakers star.
