Chat GPT Creates Controversial List Of The 40 Greatest NBA Players Of All Time: LeBron James Is The GOAT, Dolph Schayes Is No. 6

The NBA has had incredible players during nearly 80 years of existence. The association has boasted a lot of talent that left a big mark on the competition, some ranking higher than others on unofficial and vague rankings.

Still, every basketball fan has always talked about their top 10 players to ever exist, and somebody took it to the next level recently. Chat GPT created a controversial top 40 of the best NBA players of all time, placing some players in curious positions.

The top 10 was ranked this way:

10. Wilt Chamberlain

9. Charles Barkley

8. Magic Johnson

7. Stephen Curry

6. Dolph Schayes

5. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

4. Larry Bird

3. Shaquille O’Neal

2. Michael Jordan

1. LeBron James

A lot of fans were shocked by certain names on this list. Starting from Charles Barkley, who hardly ever gets included in the top-10s around the league since he went ringless during his career. Moreover, the absence of Kobe Bryant on this list is also curious, as he’s considered at least a top-5 talent in NBA history.

But to make things even more interesting, Dolph Schayes at No. 6 is incredible, to say the least. Schayed, who would be 87 years old today, won the 1955 NBA championship with his first team in the league, the Syracuse Nationals.

He finished his career as a 12-time All-Star, and a 12-time All-NBA, and was included on the league’s 75th-anniversary list as one of the greatest players to ever play the game. In 996 games, he averaged 18.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

There’s no doubt that he was a pretty good player who won a championship and collected individual awards, but it doesn’t seem fair that he’s ranked so high on this list. Still, there’s nothing we can do to change this, and ChatGPT’s list isn’t anything official.

The GOAT Debate Remains A Hot Topic In The NBA

Meanwhile, many people keep bringing up the never-ending GOAT debate, some siding with LeBron James and others with Michael Jordan. These two legends have been pitted against each other for many years, and fans don’t seem to come to an agreement when it comes to them.

Our full comparison between His Airness and the King shows that Jordan is the winner and the true GOAT. Their stats and numbers in the Finals also show that Michael has the edge over the current Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

They’ve both have been swept in the NBA playoffs, but none of that takes anything away from them. Both Jordan and James were incredible defenders, and fans have made that another debate.

There are many reasons for LeBron to be considered the greatest of all time, but there’s no doubt that Jordan is the best player to set foot on an NBA court. Rookie Jordan was compared to 2012 LeBron James too, and the result should be the best example of why MJ will always rank ahead of James.
